Caramel Crisp

Caramel Crisp Corner, also known as Caramel Crisp, is a cafe, gift shop, book store and toy store. The store is one of the more well-known businesses in Oshkosh. They are mostly well known for their cookies and cafe. While the business was happy with this, they also wanted people to know they had a bookstore and toy store, along with re-strengthening their brand overall. I was brought in as an events coordinator as well as social media marketing person.

My first goal at Caramel Crisp was to rebuild the social media presence of the store. Previous to me, the store had a sporadic social media presence, which for a store that is visually focused, I found strange. I took it upon myself to get social media posts of the store, bookstore and toy store to build up the public knowledge of the store. Along with that we had professional photos taken of the food and store in. On the left you can see one of the photos that was taken.

Along with the rebuilding of the social media presence of I worked with a fellow event coordinator to build out events at the store. If we were to get people to know about the bookstore, toy store, and the Caramel Crisp brand, we needed to get them to the store, and we needed to create specific events that connected Caramel Crisp to the community, and create events that we could attach to the toy and bookstore.

Some of our events that we connected with the store were Back to School celebration were we had small celebration where we gave away school supplies, national ice cream day where we ice cream specials and games in front of the store, and dairy month celebration where we celebrated dairy in Wisconsin with farm animals, local Oshkosh vendors and ice cream.

Some of the events we connected to the toy and book store were Harry Potters birthday in which we had Harry Potter-themed gifts and food in our toy store. We also had a children's book fair in which we had local children authors showing their books.

All of these events not only helped bring in new customers to the store, but it also helped bring in return customers as many people enjoyed then events that were put on. Below you can a few photos from events that were put on while I was there.
